#4 Engage with Your Community

Remember that ANA requires evidence of community engagement - have you started this process, yet?

You will need documented engagement with your community in which they will help identify the need for the project and provide input into the design of the project. You can also collect information regarding the challenge in the community that this project will address.

  • A couple ways to get community input is through surveys or meetings. The meetings can be in-person or virtual.
  • Examples of documents you can collect could be survey summaries, meeting summaries, meeting minutes, sign in sheets, Facebook polls, etc.

It is recommended to work on this as early as possible – it may take time to collect this information.
