We are recruiting Alaskans for 2 reasons: 1) to have good representation of an Alaskan perspective and 2) to help reduce conflicts of interest.
Each year, the Administration for Native Americans (ANA) convenes panels of individuals with various backgrounds and levels of experience working with grants, Tribes and Tribal nonprofits to objectively analyze and score eligible grant applications. These scores are used to rank eligible applications which help ANA decide which eligible tribes or native organizations will receive funds.
Being a panel reviewer is an integral part of ANA’s funding process and affords participants the opportunity to have a significant impact in native communities.
This is a great opportunity to gain a perspective of writing with a critical eye by understanding how applications are evaluated. This may also help you identify gaps in other applications you are writing.
I believe that you have the expertise to be a panel reviewer in this year's process if you are interested. To apply for panel review please go the ANA website below, review the details for panel review, the qualifications and complete a “Reviewer Profile”

If you are unable to contribute to this process at this time but know of someone who might be a good candidate, please forward this information to them.
