Becoming a ANA Proposal Review Panelist

The Administration for Native Americans (ANA) an agency within U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families is seeking individuals willing to serve as proposal reviewers. ANA utilizes outside reviewers to read, comment, and score applications submitted for ANA funding.

The mission of ANA is to promote the goal of social and economic self-sufficiency for American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and other Native American Pacific Islanders. The ANA supports this mission by providing discretionary grants to eligible applicants in three key program areas. The program areas are:

• Social and Economic Development Strategies
• Language Preservation
• Environmental Regulatory Enhancement

Prospective reviewers are approved based on their qualifications and experience. Invited reviewers serve as a member of a review panel and evaluate seven (7) to ten (10) grant applications per review session. The six (6) day review sessions are held once a year for each program area in Washington D.C. Reviewers will be paid $250 per day for each day of the review session. Travel and lodging costs are arranged and paid for directly by ANA.

Individuals from ANA's target population who possess experience and qualifications in our program areas are urged to apply.
